WARRIORS SOFTBALL REFUND POLICY

New refund policy beginning for the 2024 season:

Effective immediately TRAA will no longer provide refunds to players after they've been rostered.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and SportsEngine has introduced an insruance option "RegSaver" to cover families when these events arise.

During your registration process, you'll be given an opportunity to purchase RegSaver insurance for an additional fee. RegSaver provides you with the peace of mind that, in the unfortunate event of injuries, or other eligible life events, occuring after registration and prior to the conclusion of the season, you will be eligible for a reimbursement of your registration fees.

While the purchase of RegSaver is entirely optional, it is important to note that without this additional insurance, Two Rivers Athletic Association will not be able to refund any registration fees after a player has been officially rostered. We encourage all members to carefully consider their options and make an informed decision during the registration process.

Refund Policies

Spring/Summer:

  1. $15 tryout fee paid prior to player being rostered is non-refundable.
  2. Travel registration fees are not paid until October, after player is rostered and accepts roster spot. After that registration, fees are non-refundable.
  3. In-House registration fees paid are 75% refundable if request is made prior March 1st. After March 1st and prior to rostering, a refund of 50% can be provided. After April 1st, the fee is non-refundable.
  4. In-House registration fee paid is 0% refundable if request is made after players are rostered.

Fall Ball:

  1. No refund after July 20th. Use RegSaver at time of registration if you wanted to insure your registration fee
  2. Full refund if TRAA is unable to be roster the player.
  3. Full Refund Minus $25 if a refund request is made prior to July 20th.

Note: Any refund scenario above with exception to the RegSaver insurance will deduct any transaction fees paid up front and transaction fees incurred by TRAA for the refund.  SportsEngine assesses transaction fees of $2 + $3.25% of transaction. The customer pays that fee on top of our registration fee at time of registration.  However, when we refund the registration fee, we also pay that same transaction fee. As a result, any refunds would also be deducted $2 + 3.25% to cover this refund fee. Example: $100 registration fee will include a $5.25 transaction so customer pays $105.25.  If fully refunded, the refund only applies to the $100 registration fee and the $5.25 transaction cost of the refund is reduced from the refund for a total full refund amount of $94.75 in this $100 full refund example.

Players can tryout for 10U one year early to play 3 years of 10U if they would like to tryout. Not all players will make a team.

We highly encourage top players at the 8U in-house level to tryout and play 10U travel early. Our most successful 10U groups are the groups that begin and make a 10U travel team a year early and compete very well at the 10A level in their 3rd year. This requires a group of committ

Players who do not make a 10U travel team will play in the 10U In-House league which is similar to 10C travel.

Players who would like to move up to an age level early must submit a request to softball@traawarriros.com prior to tryouts and provide justification as to why the player would like to move up early. Early move-ups must be approved by the committee and do not guarantee placement on a team at the higher level until tryouts are completed and rosters are formed. Players trying out for a higher age level early will be asked to tryout for both age levels.

Early move-ups are rare.  If your child is an extremely talented softball player and their skills significantly separate them from peers of their same age, there are other factors involved in youth sports. Allowing your child to play with their peers is something TRAA strongly encourages. If you feel your child's skill level or size is a safety risk to the players at the same level, please reach out to softball@traawarriors.com
