2025 - 2026 Club Volleyball (November - March)

Registration & Eligibility

  • Deadline: Complete the registration survey by Sunday, October 5.

  • Requirement: Players must submit the survey to be eligible for tryouts.

  • Benefits of Registering:

    • Families who register will receive updates, invitations to planning meetings, and communication on tryout details in October.

    • Families who do not register will not receive communication.

Costs (Planned for 2025-2026 Season)

  • 10U–11U: $400

  • 12U–13U: $425

  • 14U–18U: $450

Teams & Age Levels

  • Maximum Teams: 9 (due to gym space limits). Not all players are guaranteed to make a team.

  • Projected Teams by Age Level (based on interest):

    • 10U: 1 team

    • 12U: 4 teams

    • 14U: 2 teams

    • 18U: 2 teams

  • Roster Size: 9–11 players per team

  • Multiple Teams at an Age Level: Teams will likely be formed as 1s, 2s, 3s, etc. (similar to A, B, C levels).

  • Movement Between Age Levels:

    • Players cannot move down an age level (per USA Volleyball rules).

    • Players may move up to fill teams (e.g., 12U players on 14U teams, 15U on 18U).

    • Our ability to offer teams at each age level will be based on number of players but also coaching candidates. If we do not have coaches in place to support the age level we will be unable to carry a team at that age level.

Practices & Games

  • Practices:

    • 2 per week (1–1.5 hours each, excluding holiday weeks). Practices will begin sometime between 6pm-8pm and end some time between 7pm-9pm.

    • Older teams will often have practices ending at 9pm while younger teams will often have practices beginning at 6pm.

    • All practices held at Friendly Hills Middle School Gym.

    • Practice nights will vary weekly depending on gym space. There is no opportunity to have practices on consistent nights due to gym availability.

    • Practices will include several Friday evenings. Gym space Mon-Thu was very limited and in order to get more practice time for teams, Friday evenings was necessary.

  • Scrimmages: Scheduled with other communities during the week based on coaches ability to find scrimmages. There is no league for club volleyball with weeknight or weekend games.

  • Tournaments:

    • Always played on the weekend. Sometimes one day, sometimes two days. Depends on the tournament.

    • 14U–18U: 6–7 tournaments (December–March).

    • 10U–13U: 4–5 tournaments (December–March).

    • Tournaments may be one or two days on weekends.

    • Ability to play in tournaments will be dependent on tourneys with room available. Coaches and specific committee members will be responsible for signing teams up for tournaments.

  • Season End: Early to Mid-March.

  • Spring Extension: Possible if coaches/players are interested, but would be a separate team with added cost. Gym availability pending.

  • Note: No half-season teams this year. 2024-2025 included teams who played half seasons. This will not be available in the 2025-2026 season.

Volunteer & Leadership Needs

  • Commissioner Needed: Currently no commissioner for the 2025–2026 season. If you are interested in becoming the commissioner of the Volleyball program, please fill out the survey above.

  • Committee: A volunteer group of parents has started planning but needs more members to help pull off a successful season. If you are interested in helping as a committee member, please indicate your interest in the survey and we'll connect you with the existing committee members to help out.

  • Without volunteers, the season cannot run. It is extremely important for parents interested in signing up their players for Warriors Club Volleyball that TRAA Board Members do not run Warriors Volleyball. In the absence of having a commissioner, it will be the responsibility of the committee to plan and operate the season. It will require the help of many to ensure players are able to have a season.

Coaching

  • We are relying on parent volunteer coaches at all age levels.

  • If we are unable to find parent volunteer coaches, we are willing to pay non-parent coaches and registration fees would increase. However, if we do not have paid non-parent coach candidates in place prior to forming teams, we will be unable to move forward with offering teams at those age levels without coaches. If you are a paid non-parent coach interested in coaching at specific age levels, please fill out the survey. If you know anyone interested, please have them fill out the survey. We will not have capacity to do an extensive search for coaching candidates if coaching candidates are not in place prior to tryouts.

Boys Volleyball

  • No boys program will run this winter.

  • Parents can still submit the survey to show interest and help plan future opportunities.

In-House / Recreational Volleyball

  • No in-house program during the winter club season (Nov–Mar).

  • Goal: Establish a Spring In-House/Recreation Season (March–April, ~7 weeks).

  • Dependent on parent volunteers to plan and lead.

  • Possibility of a fall in-house program (grades 3–5) if a committee is formed.

  • Interested in helping? Fill out the survey (you don’t need to register a player for club if you're interesting in leading a in-house program in the future - you can fill out the survey just to express interest in becoming an in-house leader)

SurveY / Registration Results

  • Results are shared publicly to show player, coach, and committee interest.

  • Most age levels will have enough players; some may have more than can be rostered.

Process & Timeline

  1. October 5:  Registration/Survey due.

  2. Mid to Late October: Committee meetings continue; updates shared with registered families.

  3. Late October: Final details on costs, teams, and tryout dates/times released.
